"Give It To You" is a song by American recording artist Mýa. Written and co-produced by Mýa alongside producers MyGuyMars and Mike & Keys, "Give It To You," is an 80's-themed slick groove filled with nostalgic synths and a funky bassline paying homage to funk and R&B trailblazers such as Prince, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and the Mary Jane Girls.

Following her performance at 25th BET Awards, "Give It To You" was released June 10, 2025 via the singer's imprint Planet 9 in partnership with Virgin Music Group.

"Give It To You" was originally conceived in 2017. Early stages of the song first began taking shape in 2017 while the singer was creating T.K.O. (The Knock Out) and marked the first track she cut for the forthcoming release. Speaking with UK publication Principle magazine, the singer recalls discovering the beat almost by chance. "So during my time recording with MyGuyMars during my previous project T.K.O., we'd created so many different, I would say, blueprints of projects together as production partners. We worked in a studio that had four rooms, and across the hall, Mike & Keys, who he often works with, were playing some music. I walked across the hall and said, 'Excuse me. Who is that beat for?' They said, 'No one.' I was like, 'Well, it's mine now.' The production duo gave the singer the track and she immediately got to work on it, because all of these melodies started coming to her, and she loved the feeling," she explains. "It reminded me of all the good times in my living room as a kid. My dad is a musician; and always had the house filled with joyful, funk music. It reminded me of that time in life, so I wanted to bring those good vibes back," she added.^[1]

According the singer, "Give It To You," is her love letter to a time when music was boldly funky, flirtatious, and utterly unforgettable. It's her invitation for everyone to skate, dance, and keep the party going—a vibe just getting started. Packed with shimmering synths, bold basslines, and irresistibly catchy hooks, "Give It To You," is a three minute groovy 80's themed song written and co-produced by Mýa alongside Mike & Keys and MyGuyMars. On the dance-ready track, the singer can't help but express her devotion to a love interest. "If you ask me once, I'd tell you twice I wanna / Give you all my love," she sings in the chorus. Paying homage to funk and R&B trailblazers such as Prince, Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, and the Mary Jane Girls, "Give It To You" blends classic influences with a contemporary flair.^[1][2][3]

Revealed via the red carpet at the BET Awards, while speaking with Billboard the singer announced "Give It To You" as the lead single from her forthcoming project.^[4] Following her viral performance of "Case of the Ex," at the BET Awards part of the 106 & Park segment, "Give It To You" was released June 10, 2025 via the singer's imprint Planet 9 in partnership with Virgin Music Group.^[2][3][5]
