Echinopogon ovatus, or hedgehog grass, is a species of grass.[2] It is indigenous to Australia and New Zealand.[3] It has bluish-green tufts which grow up to around 140cm.[4]

Range and habitat

It is found throughout New Zealand, although rarer in the western parts of the country. It prefers drier areas.[3][5]
