Pedro Fernández Sarmiento (born 12 January 2008), known as Dro, is a Spanish professional who plays as an attacking midfielder or left winger for Segunda Federación club Barcelona Atlètic.[1]
Club career
Youth career
Dro joined Barcelona's academy in 2024. In the 2024/25 season, he played for the Juvenil B and Juvenil A teams, as well as in the UEFA Youth League. He made a total of 38 appearances: 19 in Juvenil B (7 goals), 12 in Juvenil A (3 goals), and 7 in the UEFA Youth League (2 goals).
Debut for FC Barcelona
He is a graduate of the FC Barcelona football academy, known as La Masia.[2] In July 2025, Dro was included in the Barcelona first team for the pre-season tour to Japan and South Korea under coach Hansi Flick.[3]
Dro made his "unofficial" debut[4] for Barcelona when he replaced Marcus Rashford in the 78th minute in a pre-season friendly match against Vissel Kobe on 27 July 2025.[5] Dro would later score in the 87th minute to seal the 3-1 victory.[6][7]
