Dragones Toluca F.C. is a football club that plays in the Liga Premier de México – Serie A. It is based in Zinacantepec, Mexico.
History
In April 2025, the Mexicali F.C. board was informed that it would not be able to use the Ciudad Deportiva de Mexicali stadium due to improvements to the athletics track attached. With no other suitable football field in the city, the team was forced to look for another city to play in for the 2025–26 season.[2]
On June 27, 2025, the relocation of Mexicali F.C. to Toluca was announced, adopting the name Dragones Toluca F.C.[3] The new team adopted the nickname of the original team as part of its official name, signaling its intention to return to Mexicali when adequate infrastructure conditions exist.[4]
