He hit .314 with eight home runs and 30 RBI and was named the NECBL Rookie of the Year.[7] Over 59 games for Indiana as a sophomore in 2024, Taylor batted .357 with twenty home runs and 54 RBI.[8] After the season, he played in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Cotuit Kettleers.[9][10] As a junior at Indiana in 2025, Taylor hit .374 with 18 home run and 66 RBI over 55 games. He ended the season as Indiana's all-time home run leader with 54.[11] Taylor was named a top prospect for the 2025 MLB draft.[12]
