The Deputy Leader of Parliament is the deputy leader of the ruling party in the National Parliament of Bangladesh. The Deputy Leader is elected based on the majority support of the Members of Parliament. Syed Nazrul Islam was the first Deputy Leader of the Parliament of Bangladesh, and currently, the position is vacant.[1] [2] [3] [4]

The position of Deputy Leader holds the same rank as a Cabinet Minister.[5] [6]
