De De Pyaar De 2 (transl. Give me love 2) is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Anshul Sharma, written by Luv Ranjan and Tarun Jain and produced by T-Series Films and Luv Films. It is a sequel to De De Pyaar De (2019).[2] The film stars Ajay Devgn, R. Madhavan and Rakul Preet Singh.[3][4]

The film was announced in March 2024. Principal photography commenced in June 2024, held in India and London. It is scheduled to release on 14 November 2025.[5][6][7]

Plot

The plot takes off from where the previous film left off. As Ashish Mehra, the 55-year-old NRI investor in London who falls in love with 28-year-old independent woman Ayesha, and develops a serious relationship of living together. Ashish then decides to meet Ayesha's family to get their approval, after having previously received his own family's approval (in De De Pyaar De). What follows is a case of hilarious one-upmanship between Ashish and Dev. Since age of Ashish is more than Dev so this creates an awkward situation among the two families.

Development and casting

The film's script was finalized in August 2023, while the official announcement was made in March 2024. The film is directed by Anshul Sharma replacing Akiv Ali, with Ajay Devgn and Rakul Preet Singh returning as Ashish Mehra and Ayesha Khurana with R. Madhavan.[9] Anil Kapoor was initially signed to play Ayesha's father,[10] but later opted out and was replaced by R. Madhavan.[11]

Filming

Principal photography commenced in June 2024 at Mehboob Studio, Mumbai, Maharashtra, with next schedules set to happen in Punjab and London.[12][13] The 1st Punjab schedule of the film was completed in September-October 2024.[14] The 2nd Punjab schedule of the film was started in January and completed in February 2025.[15] The reason for 2 schedules in Punab is that during 1st schedule in Patiala the director Anshul Sharma was down with dengue fever, due to which the earlier planned long schedule was cut short.[16][17]

Music

The film’s Background score is by Hitesh Sonik and Ariyan Mehedi is the music director.[18][19]

Release

De De Pyaar De 2 was scheduled to be released dated on long weekend coinciding with the International Labour Day and Maharashtra Day, but was postponed because of Raid 2 release;, and is now slated to release on 14 November 2025. Yash Raj Films acquired Worldwide distribution rights (including UK).[20]
