Yeylaqi-ye Darestan (Persian: ييلاقي دارستان, also Romanized as Yeylāqī-ye Dārestān; also known as Darastan, Dārestān, and Yeylāq-e Darestān)[1] is a village in Rostamabad-e Jonubi Rural District, in the Central District of Rudbar County, Gilan Province, Iran.
It is a mountainous village with road access to Rudbar city. Darestan used to be prosperous village with its people engaged in farming and animal husbandry, the village has turned into a tourist area and a favorite destination during summer. Several ancient artifacts have been excavated in Darestan.[2]
Demographics
People of the village speak the Gilaki language.[3]
At the 2016 census, its population was 177, in 56 families.[4] Large increase from 15 people in 2006 census.[5]
