Sexual abuse allegations
In 2007, Sutton was sued for sexually abusing an 18-year-old legislative page.[1][2] The case was settled with no money being paid to the person. Later, when attempting to run for mayor of Flandreau, South Dakota, two additional victims came forward with accusations of sexual abuse against Sutton.
