Dan Gallin (26 April 1931 – 31 May 2025) was a Polish-born labour activist and trade unionist who was Secretary General of the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers' Associations from 1968 to 1997.[1] In 1997 he founded the Global Labour Institute. Gallin was born in Lvov, Poland (now Lviv, Ukraine) on 26 April 1931.[2][3] He died on 31 May 2025, at the age of 94.[1][4]
