Lincoln Cortez Velasquez (born October 27, 1991), better known by his username Cong TV, is a Filipino YouTuber, vlogger, online streamer, comedian, musician and entrepreneur. He is notable for his comedic content on YouTube. He is widely regarded as one of the leading YouTube personalities in the Philippines.[3][4]
Early life
Lincoln Cortez Velasquez was born on October 27, 1991, to Marlon Velasquez Sr. and Jovel Cortez Velasquez.[5][6]
Career
YouTube
In 2008, Velasquez began creating and uploading videos on YouTube and Vine. His first video, an MTV-style parody of "Rebound" by Silent Sanctuary, was uploaded on December 1.[7] Velasquez initially gained recognition through humorous short videos, then shifted to serious vlogging, which led to his rise to fame.[8]
In 2018, as PUBG: Battlegrounds surged in popularity, Velasquez ventured into gaming and started streaming titles such as PUBG Mobile, Call of Duty Mobile, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Valorant on his social media platforms.[9][10][11] Thereafter, Velasquez became a talent of the Philippine esports and video gaming–oriented entertainment agency Tier One Entertainment, having been discovered for his potential in gaming and streaming by two of its founding members, Alodia Gosiengfiao and Tryke Gutierrez.[12][13]
Velasquez leads Team Payaman, a content creator collective that began in 2015 as a hobby and gained prominence during the COVID-19 pandemic. By 2020, the group had transitioned into a professional endeavor, producing relatable, real-life content on YouTube for a Filipino audience.[14] The group gained further public exposure through their participation in the 2024 and 2025 Star Magic All-Star Basketball Games, where they competed against Donny Pangilinan’s team, led by Velasquez, and were defeated in both matches.[15][16][17]
On September 25, 2024, Velasquez collaborated with American streamer IShowSpeed for the third installment of his stream in the Philippines, held as part of IShowSpeed's Southeast Asia tour.[18]
Acting and musical career
Velasquez appeared in the 2016 Philippine television drama-fantasy series My Super D as the character Moby. Velasquez is the frontman and co-lead guitarist of the band Coln, which he founded in September 2018, coinciding with the composition of their debut track, "Baliw", which received substantial viewership on YouTube for its music video, subsequently leading to a series of live performance engagements.[19]
Personal life
Velasquez has three siblings: Venice, Marlon Jr., and Patricia. Both Marlon Jr. and Patricia are YouTubers and have surpassed one million subscribers.[20][21]
In December 2020, Velasquez and his girlfriend, fellow vlogger Viy Cortez, experienced the loss of their baby shortly after discovering the pregnancy.[22] A year later, Cortez announced in a vlog that she and Velasquez were expecting another baby.[23] On July 5, 2022, Cortez gave birth to their son, Zeus Emmanuel "Kidlat" Velasquez.[24]
He married Cortez on June 17, 2024, at L’Annunziata Parish Church in Victoria Homes Subdivision, Tunasan, Muntinlupa, with special guest Alodia Gosiengfiao and other internet personalities in attendance.[25] A year later, they welcomed their second child, Tokyo Athena.[26]
