Cody Conrod (born January 7, 2005), better known online as Clix is an American Twitch online streamer and professional gamer.[1][2][3]
Early life and career
Cody Conrod was born on January 7, 2005 to Scott Conrod and Lucy DiLoreto, who are of German and Italian descent. Conrod was raised in a Connecticut small town and has an older brother and sister.[4][5] At age 14, he persuaded his father to purchase him a $1,200 computer and agreed to pay him back, which Clix did two weeks later with prize money won from an internet Fortnite tournament.[6]
Clix became the first gamer in the world to ever obtain an "Unreal" rank in Fortnite.[6] In 2024, Clix was named number 18 on Forbes magazine's list of 30 Under 30 in North America.[6][7]
On September 14, 2024, Clix was involved in a swatting incident with the Florida police at the Boca Raton Town Center Mall during a live streaming. The police presence caused the location to be evacuated, shut down and interrupted Clix's Twitch stream.[8]
In March 2025, Clix announced a collaboration with Gunnar Optiks for a new pair of gaming glasses, dubbed “Goggles,” to reduce eye strain during extended gaming sessions.[9] Clix is also known for his charity work with the Boys & Girls Club.[6]
Clix was added to Fortnite in March 2025.[10]
