Caitlin Houlahan(/ˈkeɪtlɪn/ /ˈhuːləhæn/ KAYT-lin-HOO-lə-han) is an American actress and singer. She is known for her work on stage and screen, including playing the roles of Dawn in the Broadway revival of Waitress and Kate in Girl from the North Country. Houlahan has also appeared on television in Peter Pan Live! and HBO's Mare of Easttown..[1]
Bio
Houlahan was born in Cleveland, Ohio, and graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a Bachelor's of Music. Houlahan's first role was Jane Darling in NBC's Peter Pan Live! (2014), followed by Iola Stover in a 2015 concert presentation of Parade at Lincoln Center. She next played Carolyn in the U.S. national tour of The Bridges of Madison County , from 2015 to 2016.[1]
In 2016, she became a replacement as Dawn in the musical Waitress on Broadway. She stayed with the show until 2019 and appeared in the Bleecker Street Media film of the production in 2023.[2] During this time, she made a guest appearance in an episode of Girls in 2017, had a recurring role as Katie Bailey on the series Mare of Easttown on HBO and as Christy in American Rust on Showtime. She also had guest roles in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel as Kiki, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit as Anne Holmes, and the 2024 film Turning as Sarah Cassidy.
She appeared in the 2020 Broadway production of Girl from the North Country, playing the supporting role of Kate Draper. The show closed in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but reopened in 2022. Her performance was captured for a PBS Great Performances special, which first aired in May 2025.[1] In 2025, she was cast in the recurring role of Romy in Only Murders in the Building, set for release in 2025.
