Bralewnica [bralɛvˈnit͡sa] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Kęsowo, within Tuchola County, Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, in north-central Poland.[1] It is located within the historic region of Pomerania.

History

Bralewnica was mentioned in medieval documents in 1300, 1369 and 1385.[2] It was a royal village of the Polish Crown, administratively located in the Tuchola County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship.[3]

During the German occupation of Poland (World War II), the Germans murdered several Polish inhabitants of Bralewnica on 3 November 1940, and then on November 5 they expelled the families of the victims, while their farms were handed over to Germans as part of the Lebensraum policy.[4]
