Bondanza family
The Bondanza Family is a Salvadoran family of Italian origin that primarily resided in the cities of Santa Ana and Santa Tecla. Many members of the family became businessmen, military figures, aviators and political figures.

Vicente Bondanza
Vicente Abbondanza was born on May 24, 1839 to unknown parents. At some point he was conscripted into the Army of the Two Sicilies during the Risorgimento, he eventually deserted and escaped to Morocco on a ship with his girlfriend, Rosa. They first resided in Mexico for a few years before moving to the city of Santa Ana, El Salvador. They had 4 children including Josefa, Abelino, Vicente and Narciso.[1]

Jacinto Bondanza Castro
Jacinto Bondanza Castro was born in Santa Tecla in 1900, he was the son of Abelino Bondanza. Jacinto was an early pioneer of aviation in El Salvador, playing a major role in developing the Salvadoran Aviation Corps, which would become the Salvadoran Air Force.[2][3]
Carlos Alberto Bondanza
Carlos Alberto Bondanza Castro was born in La Libertad in 1895. He became a Captain in the Salvadoran Army and attempted a far-right coup d'état against the government in the 1930s. Carlos’s son, José Alberto Bondanza was a co-founder of the Nationalist Republican Alliance (ARENA) with his friend Roberto d'Aubuisson.[4]

- Rafael Antonio Bondanza, a member of the Communist Party who served in various ranks and took part in the 1932 uprising.[5][6]
- Josefa Bondanza Aminas, married Francesco Vitelli, a musician from Sicily; their daughter, Maria, married Manuel Andreu Sifontes (1887-1950), a prominent musician from Santa Ana.[7] Another daughter, Adriana married Pablo Guido Siri, a businessman. Their son Carlos Alberto Siri was a very successful writer and diplomat who was awarded the Order of Merit of Italy.[8][9]
