Bigg Boss 19 also known as Bigg Boss: Iss Baar Chalegi Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar, is the upcoming nineteenth season of the Indian Hindi-language reality television show Bigg Boss. It is scheduled to premiere on 24 August 2025 on JioHotstar and Colors TV.[1] Salman Khan will host the show for the sixteenth time.[2]
Production
Release
The official first look, including the logo for the new season, was unveiled on 25 July 2025, confirming the season's launch.[3] On 31 July 2025, JioHotstar and Colors TV released a official teaser featuring Khan, announcing the premiere date and the theme for the new season.[4][5] On 7 August 2025, JioHotstar and Colors TV released the official trailer featuring Khan, providing further details about the season's theme.[6]
Theme
The season's theme, “Gharwalon Ki Sarkaar”, introduces a parliament-inspired setting where housemates wield authority over key decisions, from alliances to tasks.[7]
Eye logo
The logo showcases a colorful, mosaic-style design symbolizing constant surveillance and house dynamics. The central eye features a vibrant, multicolored iris with sharp geometric patterns in shades of blue, yellow, red and green, reflecting chaos and diversity. The outer edge is outlined with a thick, white border accented by blue and grey shading, adding a digital edge that aligns with the season’s political theme of strategy and control.[8]
Broadcast
Weekday episodes of Bigg Boss 19 will premiere on JioHotstar at 9:00PM IST followed by the television broadcast on Colors TV at 10:30PM IST[9]
Casting
On 14 August 2025, JioHotstar and Colors TV unveiled a promotional campaign featuring Salman Khan, announcing an innovative audience-driven initiative called Fans Ka Faisla (Fans' Decision). Viewers were granted the authority to select one contestant to enter the Bigg Boss house prior to the season's start. The voting process, conducted on the JioHotstar app, opened on 14 August and is set to close at 11:59 PM on 21 August 2025. The two contenders vying for the audience's vote are:
- Shehbaz Badesha: Singer and the brother of former Bigg Boss 13 contestant Shehnaaz Gill, Badesha has previously appeared on the show as a guest.[10]
- Mridul Tiwari: A content creator known for his YouTube comedy channel The MriDul. He creates acting-based comedy videos.[11]
