Berkay Akkoyun (born 2 May 2005) is a Turkish recurve archer. He has represented Turkey at international competitions including the European Archery Championships, European Games, and World Archery Youth Championships.

Career

Akkoyun won the silver medal with the Turkish junior men's team at the 2021 World Archery Youth Championships held in Wrocław, Poland.[1]

At the 2023 European Games in Kraków, Poland, he was part of the Turkish men's recurve team that won the bronze medal.[2]

In 2024, Akkoyun won the bronze medal with Mete Gazoz and Berkim Tümer in the men's team recurve event at the European Archery Championships in Essen, Germany, defeating the Netherlands in the third place match.[3]

At the 2025 Summer World University Games (FISU) in Rhine-Ruhr, Germany, Akkoyun competed for Turkey in the men's team recurve event. The Turkish team, composed of Berkay Akkoyun, Ulaş Berkim Tümer, and Muhammed Abdullah Yıldırmış, won the bronze medal after defeating Chinese Taipei 6–0 in the third-place match on 25 July 2025.[4][5]
