Asif Mahmood Goraya is a serving two-star general in the Pakistan Army, currently serving as Commandant of School of Army Air Defence (Comdt SAAD) in Karachi.[1]
Military career
Goraya was commissioned in Army Air Defence through 84th PMA Long Course. He was promoted from Brigadier to the rank of Major General in 2019.[1]
He served as Director General of the National Command and Operation Center (DG NCOC) during COVID-19.[2][3] During the pandemic, he played a vital role in vaccination and precaution.[4] He also commanded 3rd Air Defence Division, assigned at Sargodha.[5]
He received Hilal-i-Imtiaz from the President of Pakistan Arif Alvi in 2022.[6]
