Asian Affairs is a quarterly peer-reviewed academic journal covering research on politics, international relations, and contemporary issues in Asia, with contributions from multiple disciplines such as sociology, anthropology, economics, and cultural studies.[1] It is published by Routledge on behalf of the Royal Society for Asian Affairs. The journal was established in 1914 as the Journal of the Central Asian Society, renamed the Journal of the Royal Central Asian Society from 1931 to 1969, and has been published under its current title, Asian Affairs, ever since.[2]
Overview
The journal covers a range of social, political, and historical subjects linked to Asia, with a particular focus on current affairs and more recent history. It also is a major source of book reviews. The Journal provides a forum at the interface between learned interest, scholarship, journalism and personal experience. It has recently published special issues in collaboration with the Wilson Centre for Scholars in Washington DC and King's College London.
Asian Affairs is indexed by Web of Science and Scopus.
