Ameer Lashon Speed (born October 11, 1999) is an American professional football cornerback. He played college football for the Georgia Bulldogs and Michigan State Spartans.[2][3] He was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round of the 2023 NFL draft.[4][5]

New England Patriots
Speed was selected by the New England Patriots in the sixth round, 214th overall, of the 2023 NFL draft.[8] He was waived on October 19, 2023.[9]
Indianapolis Colts
On October 20, 2023, Speed was claimed off waivers by the Indianapolis Colts.[10]
Speed was waived by the Colts on August 27, 2024, and re-signed to the practice squad.[11][12] He was released on September 17.[13]
Chicago Bears
On September 25, 2024, Speed was signed to the Chicago Bears practice squad.[14] He was promoted to the active roster on November 6.
On April 8, 2025, Speed signed his exclusive rights free agent contract with the Bears.[15] On August 11, 2025, he was waived with an injury designation.[16]
