Ali Nganda Kasirye Mulyanyama (born 31 August 1980) commonly known as Ali Kasirye Mulyanyama or Haji Mulyanyama [2] is a Ugandan politician currently serving as the Mayor of Makindye Division in Kampala.[3] He is a member of the National Unity Platform (NUP) political party.

Political career

In the 2016 Ugandan general election, Mulyanyama was elected Mayor of Makindye Division, succeeding Ian Clarke. He initially ran as a Democratic Party candidate but later joined the National Unity Platform (NUP) in 2020, reflecting his alignment with the opposition led by Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.[4]

He was reelected as Makindye Mayor in 2021 under the NUP banner.[5] [6]

Sports

Mulyanyama is a board member of Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) (KCCA FC).[7] [8][9]
