Aleksa Damjanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Алекса Дамјановић; born 4 December 2008) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a forward for Serbian SuperLiga club Red Star Belgrade.[2]
Club career
Red Star Belgrade
Damjanović was born in Belgrade, on December 4, 2008. He took his first football steps on the fields behind the south of Rajko Mitić Stadium and was an important part of all the younger categories of the club.[3][4][5]
On 23 January 2024, Damjanović signed his first professional contract with his parent club Red Star Belgrade.[6]
As a top scorer for the 2024/25 season with 21 goals he won the tittle in the Serbian Cadet League.[7]
Damjanović was a member of Red Star Belgrade club's junior team during the 2024–25 UEFA Youth League competition, where he mainly came in to play from the bench.[8]
On 16 June 2025, he was called from Red Star Belgrade head coach Vladan Milojević to participate in the preparations for the new season with the first team for the first time on Zlatibor.[9][10]
On 24 June 2025, Damjanović made his debut for the first team in a friendly match on Radomir Antić Stadium in Užice against Sutjeska Nikšić where he also score the first debut goal for the first team.[11][12]
International career
He has played for Serbia U15 and Serbia U16 national teams.
In May 2024, he was called up by the cadet team coach of that country, Jovan Damjanović to represent Serbia U17 on 2024 UEFA European Under-17 Championship in Cyprus where they was eliminated in dramatic match at semi-finals by Portugal U17.[13][14][15]
Personal life
Aleksa is son of the serbian football player and manager, Jovan Damjanović.[11]
