The 2027 FIFA U-20 World Cup will be the 25th edition and the 50th anniversary of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Confirmed bids

On 7 July 2025, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan submitted a joint bid to host the tournament. Both Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan have hosted FIFA tournaments in the past including the 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup in Azerbaijan and the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan.[1][2]

Qualification

A total of 24 teams qualify for the final tournament. In addition to the host/hosts who will qualify automatically , the remaining teams will qualify through six separate continental competitions.
