The 2025 Welsh Fire season is the franchise's fifth campaign in The Hundred competition. The tournament runs from 5 to 31 August 2025, with both the men's and women's sides playing eight group-stage matches each.[1][2]

Season summary
Transfers and signings
In February 2025, Welsh Fire announced the signing of Australian player, Steve Smith on a £200,000 deal for the men's side.[3]
Matches
The Welsh Fire men's and women's teams began their 2025 campaign with away fixtures against Northern Superchargers on 7 August.[2]

On 9 August 2025, the men's side lost to London Spirit by 8 runs despite Jonny Bairstow scoring 86 from 50 balls.[4]
The women's side suffered a 47-run defeat to Northern Superchargers on 8 August, with Hayley Matthews taking 2 for 18.[5]
