Casper Ruud defeated Jack Draper in the final, 7–5, 3–6, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2025 Madrid Open.[1] By winning his first ATP 1000 title, he became the first Norwegian champion in Masters series history (since 1990).[2] Aged 23 years and 121 days old, Draper was the youngest British man in the Open Era to reach ATP Tour finals on clay, grass and hardcourt.[3]
Andrey Rublev was the defending champion,[4] but lost in the third round to Alexander Bublik.[5] Aged 38 years and 7 months old, Gaël Monfils became the oldest man to win a singles main draw match in tournament history.[6]
