Draw
The draw of the tournament was held on 19 December 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.[3][4] The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four teams. The teams were seeded according to their performance in the 2023 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup, with the hosts Thailand automatically seeded and assigned to Position A1 in the draw.

Points are earned for the following results:
- 3 points for a win in regulation time
- 2 points for a win in extra time
- 1 point for a win in a penalty shoot-out
- no points for a loss.
The top two teams from each group advance to the quarter-finals.[5]
