The 2025–26 Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 is the 64th season of the Algerian Ligue Professionnelle 1 since its establishment in 1962. A total of 16 teams contest the league. On 10 July 2025, the federal office approved the calendar for the 2025–26 Ligue 1 season with the aim of ending on 16 May 2026. The first round is scheduled for 21 August.[1]

Teams

A total of sixteen teams are participating in the 2025–26 edition of the Ligue Professionnelle 1. ES Ben Aknoun return to the top flight after its relegation last season[2] and MB Rouissat is promoted for the first time.[3] Both teams after finishing first on their groups in the 2024–25 Algerian Ligue 2.
