The final, a replay, was played on 21 October 2006 at Wexford Park, between Rathnure and Oulart–The Ballagh, in what was their third meeting in the final overall and a first meeting in the final in two years.[4] Rathnure won the match by 1-12 to 0-06 to claim their 20th championship title overall and a first title in three yeats.[5][6] It remains their last title success.
