Kathy Jordan and Candy Reynolds were the defending champions, but Reynolds did not compete this year.
Jordan teamed up with Paula Smith and successfully defended her title, by defeating Patricia Medrado and Cláudia Monteiro 6–3, 5–7, 7–6(7–3) in the final.[1]
