Şeyda Şerefoğlu is a Turkish former taekwondo practitioner who competed internationally in the women's middleweight and heavyweight divisions. She won a bronze medal at the 1989 World Taekwondo Championships in Seoul, South Korea, competing in the –60 kg category.[1]

Career

At the 1989 World Taekwondo Championships held in Seoul, South Korea, Şerefoğlu won the bronze medal in the –60 kg division. This achievement placed her among the leading Turkish female taekwondo athletes at the world level at the time.[1]

Şerefoğlu also competed successfully at the European Taekwondo Championships. She earned a bronze medal in the –70 kg category at the 1988 Championships in Ankara, Turkey, and another bronze in the –65 kg category at the 1990 Championships in Aarhus, Denmark.[2][3]

Her performances contributed to the early development and international recognition of Turkish women in taekwondo during a period of growing global competition.[1]
